Men's Basketball get first win in huge win over Barber Scotia

The men's basketball team picked up their first victory of the season with a convincing 83-60 result over Barber Scotia (NC.) on Tuesday night.
While the Sabers kept the game close for the first ten minutes of the opening half, the Rams never let them get too close for the remainder of the contest.
The Rams use the inside play of Byron Carpenter and Lucas Shortridge to separate the point-margin for the half-time lead.
Carpenter led the way in scoring for the Rams with 22 points as he was one of five players who helped the balance scoring attack for Bluefield.
Andrew Wilson and Lucas Shortridge each scored 12 points while Borgia M’Bala and Kearsten Marion added 10 each for the Rams who shot 53 percent from the floor.
Tyrell Alston led Barber Scotia with 14 points and 5 rebounds.
The Rams (1-3) play UVa-Wise Friday at Pikeville, Ky.. where they will then play Pikeville on Saturday during the Pikeville Invitational.
