Mbengue Named as NCCAA Student- Athlete of the Week

Bluefield, VA-- Nago Mbengue was named as the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) student athlete of the week, for theathletic week of September 6- 12, 2010.
Mbengue, a junior midfielder on the Bluefield College Rams soccer team scored 2 goals and had 4 assists in two games this past week for a total of 10 points. In the first game against Pikeville College, he scored one goal and set up another with an assist, and Bluefield went on to win 4-0.
The next game against Bethany College, Mbengue had a part in every goal in a 5-4 victory. He assisted on goals #1, #4, and #5 and drew the foul that led to the second goal and scored number 3 for Bluefield. He has helped Bluefield to a 4-1 record to start the season.
The NCCAA honors each student- athlete who is nominated by his/her respective coach and they exemplify the Christian ideals held by the NCCAA.
