Masterworks, Orchestra Concert
Bluefield College’s Masterworks Chorale, featuring dozens of voices from both the college and the community, will perform its annual spring concert, Tuesday, April 8 at 7:30 p.m. in Harman Chapel.

Bluefield College’s Masterworks Chorale and Community Orchestra will perform their annual spring concert, April 8, 7:30 p.m.
Under the direction of Dr. Benjamin Thorburn, assistant professor of music, Masterworks Chorale combines the talents of Bluefield College students, faculty and staff with singers from the community in performing renowned sacred and secular choral music.
The spring 2014 Masterworks concert will feature Antonio Vivaldi’s “Gloria.” One of the most well known choral works from the Baroque period, “Gloria” is a brilliant, energetic song of praise for choir, soloists, and orchestra.
The program will also includechoral and orchestral music from the Classical and Romantic periods and will feature BC’s Community Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Charles Priest, assistant professor of music.
