Maryville Invitational Brings BC Its Highest Finishes
The Bluefield College men's and women's cross country team saw team highs during their last invitational at Maryville College in Maryville, Tennessee.

Bluefield, VA—The Bluefield College men's and women's cross country team saw team highs during their last invitational at Maryville College in Maryville, Tennessee.
Kara Georgiades saw BC's highest finish for women, placing seventh out of 51 participants. Rachel Blosser (28), Kourtney McGrady (38), Lyndsey Barton (42) and Amber MacDonald (47) combined to finish the college with a sixth place finish overall with a 2:57:54 time for the top five finishers from the school the college beat out Johnson Bible College, and LaGrange College.
Brad Schmitt saw BC's highest finish for men, placing in eighth place out of the 51 participants. Dmitry Zimin (24), Alvin Board (30), Melvin Henderson (34), and Keenan Rainer (37) combined for the college's fourth overall finish among the men's teams. BC followed behind first place Covenant College, Tusculum College, and Gordon College. BC had a combined time of 2:47:12 beating out Maryville College and LaGrange College.
The cross country team will run at the Concord Invitational in Concord, WV on October 16 before heading to Montreat College to finish out the fall season.
