Bluefield College Online will host a series of information sessions on campus for the purpose of sharing the latest details about its online degree and certification opportunities.

The info sessions will take place in the Board Room (third floor) of BC’s Lansdell Hall from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. each of the following days:

Friday, June 1, 2018

Monday, July 9, 2018

Wednesday, August 1, 2018.

The sessions are designed to provide prospective students the opportunity to meet members of the Bluefield College Online Admissions staff and to learn more about the online programs offered at BC. The meetings will also provide details about financial aid opportunities and helpful tips on navigating the admissions process. In addition, counselors will share advice on how to make online programs work for students who need to balance studies with career and family.

“The information sessions are designed as open house events in which prospective students may come and go at a time that best fits their schedule,” said BC’s Sherelle Morgan, director of online admissions. “And, refreshments will be served.”

Designed to provide working adult students from all walks of life the opportunity to earn a convenient, flexible, affordable, accredited degree, Bluefield College Online offers five undergraduate degrees in organizational leadership, criminal justice, human services, early childhood education, and nursing (RN-to-BSN), and two certification opportunities in Christian ministry and entrepreneurship and small business management.

On the graduate level, BC Online offers a Master of Arts in Education (MAEd), a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), along with a Teachers of Chemistry graduate certification program.

In keeping with a liberal arts education, BC’s online curriculum emphasizes a broad array of perspectives. Classes are delivered in an online format with close contact with professors who genuinely care about the students in the virtual classroom. All faculty members possess a combination of academic credentials, practical experience in the field, and a commitment to the Christian heritage of the college.

In fact, Bluefield College Online has been recognized for the quality of its instruction: ranked among the Best Online Colleges by the Affordable Colleges Foundation and OnlineColleges.net; ranked among the Top 10 Online Colleges in Virginia by Best Schools; and ranked among the Top Military Friendly Schools in Military Advanced Education’s “Guide to Military Friendly Colleges and Universities.” In addition, the online criminal justice, nursing, and early childhood education programs have been recognized individually by these and other organizations.

Also touted for its affordability, BC Online has been ranked among the nation’s best values by The Economist magazine; among the Top 50 Christian Colleges with the Lowest Student Debt by Christian Universities Online; among the Most Affordable Online Colleges in the country by College Choice; and among the Most Affordable Online Colleges in Virginia by OnlineColleges.net.
