
Lady Rams Lose to 4-0 Pikeville in Close Match- Up

Bluefield, VA—The Lady Rams played a team with no losses thus far in the season when they played Pikeville College on Saturday, November 27.
The Lady Rams lost in a close match up 75-66 while the Rams move to 4-7 on the season and Pikeville moves to 5-0. Leading the Lady Rams in scoring was Takieya Rouse; the junior from Woodbridge, Virginia had a high scoring game with 15 points. She was 5-8, 1-2 in 3 pointers and 4-7 in free throws for the Lady Rams.
Following behind Rouse is a trio of girls that all had 8 points in the loss against Pikeville. Kiara Williams, a senior from Springfield, Virginia was 3-5, 2-3 in 3 pointers with 2 rebounds. De'Arra Darling who had a standout game on Tuesday for the Lady Rams against Southern Wesleyan University, the junior was 2-6, 1-3 in 3 pointers and was 3-4 in free throws for the Lady Rams. The last young lady with 8 points for the Rams was Katrina Morris; a senior from Tampa, Florida led the team in rebounds with 9 and was a perfect 4-4 in free throws.
The Lady Rams will continue a season on the road when they play against Winston Salem State University and two exhibition games (High Point University and Wofford) before coming back home to face Mt. Vernon Nazarene on the 15th at 5:00 in the dome. They play Winston Salem State on December 4 at 5:30 pm and the men's team will follow at 7:30 pm in Winston- Salem, North Carolina.
