
Lady Rams Lose Against Conference Opponent Virginia Intermont
The Lady Rams dropped the conference game against Virginia Intermont, losing to the Cobras 66-50 in the BC Dome on Wednesday.

Bluefield, VA-- The Lady Rams dropped the conference game against Virginia Intermont, losing to the Cobras 66-50 in the BC Dome on Wednesday.

The Lady Rams (6-13) with the lose dropped near the bottom of the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) rankings being behind Bryan College with each being 1-4 in the conference. Leading the Rams in scoring was De'Arra Darling, who netted 14 points for the Lady Rams. Darling, a junior guard from Powder Springs, Georgia was 5-11 inside and 4-7 in free throws with seven rebounds and one assist.
Following behind Darling was junior point guard Kia Gilliard who scored 11 points, she was 5-11 inside with 1-5 in three pointers and had six rebounds in the loss. Takieya Rouse scored nine points, Rouse had three rebounds and was 3-6 inside and 2-3 in free throws.
Other Lady Rams who contributed points were Kiara Williams who netted eight points, Katrina Morris who scored four points, Megan Randall had two points in the game, and Jasmin Washington and Brittany Lankford each netted a point a piece for the Lady Rams.
The Lady Rams will take the court again on Saturday against AAC rival Bryan College who is above them in the rankings. The Lady Rams will tip- off at 2:00 pm in the Dome.
