Lady Rams Land in Fourth in AAC Preseason Polls

Bluefield, VA—The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) held its annual media day for basketball in Kingsport, Tennessee on October 13, 2010, hosted by Milligan College.
In the annual media day the coaches decide the preseason poll for the men's and women's teams respectively. The Lady Rams were ranked 4th in the AAC for the start of the season. The Lady Rams received 41 points.
Leading the women's basketball pack was Milligan College; they received all first place votes which totaled up to being 64 points. Union was second with 55 and Tennessee Wesleyan was third with 43 points. Following behind the Lady Rams was Reinhardt University with 32 points, Montreat College with 24 point, Bryan with 20 points, and Virginia Intermont with 9 points.
The Lady Rams went to the National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament and broke the school record for wins in a season. The Lady Rams open basketball action on November 5, when they host the Wendy's Classic and play West Virginia Tech 8:00 pm in the dome.
