Bluefield, VA—The Bluefield College Lady Rams will once again take part in the Side- Out Foundations “Dig Pink” rallies to be held in the Dome Gymnasium on October 23, 2010 beginning at 1:30 pm.

Dig Pink Rallies are sponsored by the Side-Out Foundation; they are designed to increase awareness of the importance of early breast cancer detection. Bluefield College’s women’s volleyball team will join the cause with a Dig Pink Rally against Wheeling Jesuit University at 1:30 pm and Bluefield State College at 3:30 pm all in the Dome. They Lady Rams will have special pink as part of their uniform and encourage all attendees to wear pink, as well, as a display of support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Admission for the BC Dig Pink Rally will be $3 at the door, where guests may also make additional donations. All proceeds from the event will go to the Side- Out Foundation. The Lady Rams will also feature other ways to give to the foundation at the game on Saturday. In years past the Lady Rams have raised nearly $2,000 for the cause. The Lady Rams want this year to top the past two years with amounts raised. The Lady Rams are striving to raise at least $1,000 to donate to the Side- Out Foundation.
