Lady Rams Drop Five-Set Decision to Concord
Bluefield, Va. -- Bluefield College, which was playing its third match in as many days, fell to NCAA rival Concord (WV) University in five sets (13-25, 25-18, 17-25, 25-10, 9-15) on Thursday night at the Dome Gymnasium.

Bluefield, Va. -- Bluefield College, which was playing its third match in as many days, fell to NCAA rival Concord (WV) University in five sets (13-25, 25-18, 17-25, 25-10, 9-15) on Thursday night at the Dome Gymnasium.
The Lady Rams were led by junior Alyssa Weddle (14 kills, 16 digs) and senior Takashi Franklin (13 kills).
Freshman setter Cheznee Daily dished out a season-high 32 assists and served up a game-high four aces, while senior Felicia Marmo and sophomore Yeda Duarte finished with 26 and 22 digs, respectively.
BC freshmen Kelsie Cline (8 kills) and Angi Highlander (7 kills) made an impact in their home debuts.
Emily Wilson (15 kills) and Amber Miller (14 kills) led the outside attack for the Lady Mountain Lions (6-2), while Victoria Fornadel added 12 spikes.
Helen Theisen contributed 40 assists and 17 digs.
The Lady Rams (2-6) conclude a four-day, four-game stretch on Friday with an AAC match at Tennessee Wesleyan and will return home next Tuesday, Sept. 15 versus Montreat (NC) College at 6:30 p.m.
