JV Basketball on a Five Game Streak December 9, 2010 | RSS Kahdeem George is one of the new players that make up the JV Rams team. Lucas Shortridge like George is new to the JV Rams team this season. Bluefield, VA—The Bluefield College Men's JV Basketball team is on a hot streak with a five game winning streak as they head into the next matchup against Louisburg College. The JV team (6-3) won against Virginia Highlands Community College 104-61 to go into nearly a month hiatus to prepare to play Louisburg College in Louisburg, North Carolina to close out this portion of the season before taking the court again in January for two games and February for two games. The team lost two straight against Fishburne Academy out of Waynesboro, Virginia in back to back games losing the first one 83-48 and the second one 87-68 before hitting the five game winning streak winning against Virginia Highlands Community College (2), New River Community College, King College, and Pikeville College. The JV Rams are truly playing a team effort with every player consistently pulling their part in the victories. They JV team feature four players that split roles on JV and listed on the varsity roster; Kahdeem George, Alvin Board, Jonathan Dula, and Alexander (AJ) Brown while the rest of the team are newbies on the roster. Courtney Pulley, Dominique Brown, Tim Floyd, Lucas Shortridge, Jordan Rose, Chris Hughes, and DJ Goshay complete the JV roster for the Rams. The JV Rams are coached by assistant men's basketball coach Keith Jennings who is in his second year of guiding the team. The JV Rams have five remaining games on the schedule including previously beaten Pikeville College, New River Community College, and King College adding to the first time this season playing Barber Scotia and Louisburg.
