LEBANON, Tenn. — Bluefield College has one more chance to get on the winning side of the scoreboard.
Bluefield dropped to 0-10 on the season with a 49-0 loss to Cumberland on Saturday. The Rams will close its campaign on Saturday against Campbellsville at Mitchell Stadium.
Cumberland tallied 572 yards on offense, including 279 on the ground and another 293 through the air. Lemeco Miller ran for 67 yards and two touchdowns.
Reed Gurchiek was 14-of-16 for 202 yards and two scores through the air. Brad Loveless was 6-of-7 and 91 yards and two more scores for the Bulldogs. Daniel Dayton led Cumberland with four receptions.
Grant Jones paced the Bulldogs with seven stops on defense.
Bluefield was held to 113 yards on offense. Clifton Bishop had 29 yards on the ground, while three quarterbacks combined to throw for just 80 yards. Rodrell Smith and Craig Walker had two receptions apiece.
Tarell Starckey led Bluefield with 16 tackles, while Anthony Herring added 14.
Bluefield will kick off its season finale next Saturday at 1 p.m.
