Chanes of Lakes Park, Florida- The Rams locked in two more on the winning column on Wednesday with solid pitching performances in both games in the doubleheader against Evangel University (Mo.) resulting in 3-1 and 5-1 wins.
The Rams only allowed two runs combined in the two 7-inning contests against the Heart of America Athletic Conference member.
Zac Russell-Myers threw two innings in Game One with four strikeouts while adding two hits and a RBI. Thirdbaseman Goodyear also chipped in with an RBI double.
Game Two was much of the same as the Rams suffocated the Crusaders on the offensive end with nice pitching by Marshall and Kyle Long. On the mound, Taylor Marshall picked up the win in his start as Kyle Long came in to pick up his 4th save of the season.
Trevor Martin (.333 Avg.) went 2 for 3 to lead the way for the Rams at the plate.
Bluefield will finish off their trip in Florida with a game on Thursday against Lourdes (Ohio) before leaving for Point and Reinhardt University over the weekend.
