Mayfield, Kentucky- The Bluegrass State will play host to the NCCAA Mid-East Baseball Regionals this week as Mid-Continent University prepares for five teams to compete for the crown for both bragging rights and a trip to the NCCAA World Series in Ohio.
Bluefield College (28-26) enter Tuesday's contest as the #3-seeded team behind both Mid-Continent (#1) and Oakland City (#2) when they face off against #2 Oakland City at 3:00pm CST, 4:00pm EST.

The Rams will look to advance past the Wild Oaks as a win will move them into the semi-finals against the winner of Game 1 or Game 3 (potential of three different teams).
Double-elimination bracket gives the Rams a great shot at pulling off another trip to the National World Series, where they won it all back in 2009.
With a full week of rest, Bluefield will have the opportunity to pitch their top aces including Matt Whidden, Justin Lykins, Joey Andrews and Andrew Kirks. Deep into games, they can rely on relief pitchers such as Lewis, Garza and Marshall.
If all goes as planned, Coach White's side could tally often and early on the five-team pool as long as the hot bats of LF Joe Gatewood (.354 BA, 40 RBI), 2B/3B Zac Goodyear (.384, 39 RBI) and utility player Zac Russell-Myers (.372, 28 RBI) can produce during the tournament.
All games will be available via live stats and audio via Mid-Continent. You can click HERE for all information for the NCCAA Regionals.
