Trent Argo began working as BC’s Vice President of Enrollment Management in November 2011.

After serving six years in the Air Force, Argo began working in college enrollment. He first worked as director of admissions at Campbellsville University in Kentucky, and then he worked as enrollment manager at Oklahoma Baptist University.

Argo, a past president of the National Association of Baptist Enrollment Professionals, said he made his decision to come to BC because of the people.

“The people--that’s what brought me here,” said Argo. “I was in private business and left higher education and was traveling and loved it. I talked to Dr. Olive and heard his vision and thought it was a place to invest in…it doesn’t hurt that the area is beautiful.”

Now that he is at BC, Argo would like to show his passion for global education.

“I am glad that Bluefield pushes global education,” said Argo. “I’m looking forward to 10 percent of Bluefield College students being international and adding to the whole campus environment.”

In the meantime, Argo is settling into his new job.

“It’s good to be here,” said Argo. “I’m looking forward to working at Bluefield.”
