Broadcast live from Atlanta, Georgia, and simulcast to more than 600 venues across the globe, including Bluefield College, the Chick-fil-A Leadercast is designed to offer participants practical ways to improve their leadership skills, while networking with other leaders in the area.

The leadership development opportunity brought to local business, civic and family leaders in part by the generosity of Chick-fil-A Mercer Mall, Consol Energy, Tazewell County, WISE (Women in Search of Empowerment), and Wordsprint Printing, will begin at Bluefield College with registration at 8:30 a.m. in Shott Hall. The daylong conference "for every leader at every level" will conclude at 4:30 p.m.

Based on the theme "Be a Leader of Leaders" and one of the largest events of its kind, involving more than 125,000 leaders from around the world, the May 4 conference will provide life-changing insights from world-renowned leaders on the choices we make as managers and how those choices impact our organization, family, community, and beyond.

Headlining the lectures, discussions and insights for the Leadercast are some of the world's best leaders, including Soledad O'Brien, Tim Tebow, John Maxwell, and Urban Meyer. O'Brien, the anchor for CNN's "Starting Point," has reported breaking news from around the globe as a special correspondent for the network. She also has produced award-winning, record-breaking and critically acclaimed documentaries on the most important stories facing the world today.

Tebow, one of the most accomplished players in college football history, is a two-time winner of the NCAA National Football Championship and the first-ever sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy. Now a professional football player in the NFL, Tebow authored "Through My Eyes" in 2011, an inspirational memoir that became a "New York Times" bestseller.

Maxwell, an internationally renowned leadership expert, coach and author, has sold more than 20 million books and trained more than five million managers. He speaks every year to Fortune 100 companies, international government leaders, military heads, and professional athletes.

Meyer, head football coach for Ohio State University, was named "Coach of the Decade" in 2009 by Sporting News and Sports Illustrated. Before Ohio State, he led the University of Florida to two BCS National Championships and two Southeastern Conference Championships in just six years.

Other keynote speakers for the Chick-fil-A Leadercast include Patrick Lencioni, a best-selling author and president of The Table Group; Marcus Buckingham, strength strategist, best-selling author and researcher; Angela Ahrendts, chief executive officer of Burberry outerwear; Roland Fryer, professor of economics at Harvard and CEO of the Education Innovation Laboratory; Sheena Iyengar, author of "The Art of Choosing" and world-renowned expert on choice; and Andy Stanley, best-selling leadership author and communicator.

"This Chick-fil-A Leadercast will include all the inspirational and educational aspects that you would expect from this type of major event," said Harry Snodgrass, assistant professor and chair of BC's Divisions of Business, "including world-class speakers, valuable networking opportunities, and experiences that will enhance your leadership potential."

BC leaders added that in addition to developing and transforming leaders to impact the community, the Leadercast event supports Bluefield College's mission and its efforts to better connect with the Greater Bluefield business community.

"As a laboratory for student development with a mission to prepare innovative learners and transformational leaders to impact the world, Bluefield College's stake in hosting this premier event is apparent," said President David Olive. "And, there's not another business organization I know of that emphasizes leadership development and integration throughout the fabric of the organization like Chick-fil-A. Thanks to Truett Cathy's personal commitment to developing leaders, there exists a culture for leadership development that has made Chick-fil-A a success story."

While individual ticket values are placed at nearly $200 by the Chick-fil-A Leadercast organization, Bluefield College will offer individual tickets to its simulcast for $50. Corporate sponsorships are also available at a price of $500, which includes five event tickets and recognition in BC's Leadercast marketing. All ticket prices include lunch during the event, provided by Chick-fil-A of Mercer Mall.
