The Bluefield College Rams Booster Club, in conjunction with the Rams and Lady Rams basketball teams, will host a free kids basketball clinic for all ages, Saturday, March 1 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Dome Gymnasium.

As part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Kids on Campus program, the BC basketball clinic is open to girls and boys and will feature two hours of instruction from players and coaches from both the BC men’s and women’s basketball teams.
Participants are invited to remain or return to the Dome later in the day for a Rams and Lady Rams basketball doubleheader. The Lady Rams will battle Campbellsville University in the Dome at 2 p.m. The men will play Campbellsville at 4 p.m.

In addition, the Kids on Campus basketball clinic is part of a BC basketball alumni reunion honoring the school’s 1998-’99 men’s basketball team, which upset nationally ranked number three Southern Oregon University in the first round of the NAIA National Tournament in March 1999, becoming the first and only basketball team in BC history to win an NAIA National Tournament game. Players from the team will be recognized during a reception in Shott Hall at noon and during the BC basketball games. Kids of the ’98-’99 Rams team are invited to be special guests of the basketball clinic.
