Bluefield College's select voice ensemble, Variations (pictured), will join the school's praise and worship group, Praise Singers, on a six-day, 11-stop performance tour throughout Virginia.

Students from the school's select voice ensembles, Variations and Praise Singers, who have already sang at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center, will embark on a six-day, 11-event tour, March 27 through April 1, to churches, Christian schools and other sites across Virginia, including the historic Bruton Parish Episcopal Church in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg.

A private, Christ-centered liberal arts college located in the beautiful mountains of southwest Virginia, Bluefield College offers challenging and personalized instruction in 44 areas of study, including music where students are trained to be performers or educators through a broad range of courses and performance opportunities like those afforded to members of Variations and Praise Singers.

Variations is known for its wide variety of sacred choral music, including spirituals, hymn arrangements and classical selections. The group has sung throughout Virginia and other eastern states, in addition to its regular on-campus performances. Variations also has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City, Avery Fisher Hall at the Lincoln Center, and internationally in Europe.

Praise Singers, comprised of six vocalists and a band, specializes in contemporary Christian music, including praise and worship. Having been involved in a number of recording projects, the group tours regularly throughout Virginia and the region. In addition to annual on-campus performances and serving as the campus worship team, Praise Singers has performed at Carnegie Hall and internationally in Austria, Italy, and the Czech Republic.
