The 167 Club event is scheduled for Wednesday, June 13 at 6:00 p.m. at the Double Tree Hilton on 301 West Franklin Street in Richmond.

"At this moment, Bluefield College is making history," said alumnus and trustee Dr. David Bailey, who is hosting the event. "All alumni and friends should be part of it."

The college recently received a $1 million challenge grant to assist with raising funds for a new Campus and Community Wellness Center (CCWC). Once completed, the facility will provide health, wellness and recreation opportunities that have never existed on campus.

The 167 Club event is designed to share more information about the challenge grant and how alumni and friends can participate and ultimately help BC build its $14 million Campus and Community Wellness Center.

For more information, visit the Capturing the Imagination web site at www.bluefield.edu/imagination.

To RSVP for the 167 Club event in Richmond, visit BC's Facebook event page, or respond to Ruth Blankenship by e-mail at or by phone at 276-326-4556.

"If you cannot attend the event, I really hope and pray you will consider supporting this important endeavor for the college," said Dr. Bailey. "Each gift makes a difference."
