Art Business Major Overview

The Art Business major provides students an option to pursue a career in art administration or art management and will help students who pursue a career as an artist understand the business aspect of how to make a living being an artist.

Clubs and Organizations

Bluefield College Art Club

The aim of the Bluefield College Art Club is to provide the faculty, staff, and students with opportunities to share ideas, insight in art concepts, and fellowship. They sponsor several field trips per year, highlighted by a bi-annual trip to Washington D.C. There are two annual sales per year, at Christmas and in the Spring, to raise money for the Art and Design Department. Meetings are held once a week for one hour during the school year. Contact Walter Shroyer if you are interested in joining the Art Club.

The Art Department at Bluefield College consists of teachers who not only know what they are teaching; they are passionate and skilled artists themselves. They continually encourage you to get out of your comfort zone and grow. I am thankful to have been a part of this program.
