U.S. Air Force Rhythm In Blue Jazz Concert

The United States Air Force’s Rhythm In Blue Jazz Ensemble concert scheduled for Monday, March 18 at Bluefield College has been postponed.

Citing recent travel budget cuts imposed on the Department of Defense, the group’s commander said the Bluefield stop is just one of several shows shelved on the Rhythm in Blue spring 2013 tour, but pledged to reschedule the Bluefield College concert as soon as funds are available to make the trip.

Nearly 250 fans had already reserved tickets in a week’s time for the free performance slated in BC’s Harman Chapel, which has an audience capacity of 600. Those original ticket orders will be voided, and fans will be asked to make new reservations when another concert date is scheduled. Details about a new Rhythm in Blue performance will be communicated as soon as they are available.
