Hi, I am Maggie Lavoie. I joined the staff January 2008 as an admissions counselor at Bluefield College. I graduated in 2006 with a BA in Theater and a minor in Art. After graduation I worked in the area while my husband went off to Marine Corps Boot Camp. The best decision we have made is staying in Bluefield while he serves in a local Reserves unit. The summer after my freshman year at BC, I went home to Franklin County, VA and worked at my local hardware store. I remember customers would inquire about my Mud Pig Day shirts. All I could do was talk about how great Bluefield College was. From the intimate classrooms and a caring faculty and staff to the beautiful ski slopes less than an hour away, I knew that this college was something special! My four years were filled with the best memories and the best friends of my life. I would love to share my experience with you! Please feel free to contact me at 1-800-872-0175 ext. 4465, email me at or chat with me on AIM, MSN or Yahoo! My screen name is bluefieldmaggie.

Hi, I am Jennifer Bliss. I am the youngest addition to Bluefield College's Admissions Counselors. I graduated in May 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and a minor in Theater.  I am excited to work with prospective students and help them discover if Bluefield College is a right fit for them. I had a wonderful time being a student  and loved the campus life here at BC. I am from Northern Virginia and came to Bluefield which at first was quite a culture shock but it grew on me fast and I can honestly say I have never met better people than the ones I have met and became friends with here. Being that Bluefield has around 600 students and a 12:1 student teacher ratio the college has a very personal family feel to it and I would love to recommend and share about my alma mater to any student looking for a great college! Feel free to contact me at 1-800-872-0175 ext 4546, email me at .

Hey! My name is Kayla Anders and I am an admissions counselor at Bluefield College. I graduated in May 2009 from the College of William and Mary with a BA in Psychology and a minor in History. Throughout my college career, I participated in activities such as the National Society of Collegiate Scholars Planning for College Success committee and the W&M Student Mentor Program. In these roles, I assisted high school seniors with the college application process and helped incoming freshmen students with everything from bed sheet sizes to class selection and registration. Soon after graduation, I began working as administrative assistant to the VP of Finance at Wytheville Community College. While I was thrilled to return to the college environment, I missed interacting with students on a day-to-day basis, which led me here to the BC Admissions Office. I loved everything about the college experience! I believe everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy those four years, discovering new interests and passions and determining the person they want to become, and hopefully I can help you begin your own extraordinary college experience here at Bluefield College. If there is anything I can do to assist you in your college search and application process, please do not hesitate to call me at 1-800-872-0175 ext.4602 or email me at .

Hi, I am Ryan Moore and I am an admissions counselor for Bluefield College. I first came to Bluefield as a transfer student from Southwest Virginia Community College and I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration during the spring commencement of 2007. While a student at BC, I was involved with several associations including Phi Beta Lambda and Students in Free Enterprise business student organizations, Sigma Beta Delta business honor society, and also being a co-founder for Omega Mu Kappa fraternity. Bluefield College has challenged me academically and the class sizes and structure prepared me to further my education through graduate studies at Radford University and obtaining an M.B.A. in the spring of 2008. Bluefield College has made a tremendous impact on my life and I am excited about serving this institution and showing others the numerous possibilities that Bluefield has to offer! Please feel free to contact me at 1-800-872-0175 ext. 4216 or send me an email at .
