Off- Campus Access Instructions

Easley Library's databases are subscription-based, therefore, a login is required if you are off-campus to verify that you are a Bluefield College student or faculty/staff member.

1.  Click on the database of your choice.

             You will be sent to a Bluefield College login screen.

 

2.  USER NAME: 

For your user name, use the beginning part of your BC email address (without “@bluefield.edu”). Do not type in your whole email address as the user name.

 

3.  PASSWORD:  

Returning Students:

Use the same password that you have used in the past to access library databases.

 New Students:

Use the password for library access that was sent to you in the initial letter you received from BC about your email, MyBC account, and library access.  If you want to change your library access password, contact the IST Department at 1-800-872-0176 ext. 4278 or 4544. 

 

4.   After logging in:

You will gain access to the database that you choseDuring that computer session, you can go to other databases without logging in again.  When you close your browser, however, you will end the computer session and will have to login again the next time you return to the library website.  

 

 Having access difficulties?

Occassionally, passwords need to be reset or you may have forgotten your login information.  You can now go to your My Account Information page (https://mybc.bluefield.edu/ics/My_Account_Information.jnz) and either retrieve your login information using the "My Account Information" feature or reset your password for MyBC and the Library using the "How to change my password" feature.
