Interlibrary Loan

Bluefield College faculty, staff, and students may use interlibrary loan.
  • Although books and articles frequently come in within 2-5 days after a request is submitted, this is not guaranteed. Make sure the request is made in plenty of time to allow for a possibly longer delivery time.
  • The limit is five requests at one time.
  • Fines for overdue interlibrary loan books are 50¢ per day.

E-mail to request an item via ILL. To request a book, include the following information:
  1. title;
  2. author;
  3. publisher;
  4. year of publication; and
  5. indicate the class for which it is intended or if for personal reading.

To request an article, include the following information:
  1. title of article;
  2. author of article;
  3. title of journal;
  4. volume/issue/year of journal; and
  5. indicate the class for which it is intended or if for personal reading.


The conditions of this service are governed by the National Interlibrary Loan Code, 1993, the Virginia Interlibrary Loan Code, 1989, the Copyright Law, Title 17, U.S. Code, and by the regulations of the individual lending libraries.
