Concentration

The bachelor’s  in Public Safety online degree completion program with a concentration in Homeland Security & Critical Infrastructure analyzes various techniques and methods of identifying threats and assessing vulnerability, as well as taking proactive measures to prevent infrastructure systems’ failure and protect assets of public and private sectors.

Course subjects include assessment and protection of critical infrastructure including agriculture, cyberspace, information technology, transportation, emergency services, and shipping. Main focus is placed on the study of methodologies for identifying, preventing and responding to risk, vulnerability, threats of weapons of mass destruction, investigative strategies for terrorism, sleeper cells and cyber-terrorism, and the role of science and technology in protecting the U.S. homeland.

The online, eight-week course format allows students to work on course assignments at their convenience and move quickly through the program.
