Concentrations

Marketing Communications Concentration

This concentration is for students interested in promotions, including careers in marketing, advertising, and public relations. Internships and hands-on projects go well beyond textbook-learning to help sharpen the oral, written, and graphic skills necessary in creating effective business communications.

Journalism Concentration

Journalism students learn the skills necessary to tell a story in any medium through hands-on experience—by writing, editing and laying out The Rampage, BC's online student newspaper; and through internships at local news organizations. Classes like Media Law and Media Ethics explore the vital role of the press in a democratic society.

Graphic Communication

This major combines art, communication, and computer courses to develop a well-balanced understanding of marketing and aesthetics in order to design compelling visual communications for businesses. See Fine Arts brochure for more information.
