A Passion for Knowledge

After my community college graduation, Bluefield College helped me pursue my dream of getting a bachelor's degree. I had a passion for knowledge and knew continuing my education was important if I wanted to be competitive. In high school I was a member of the Future Business Leaders of America and knew business was the field I wanted to go into. I had recently married with financial responsibilities so Bluefield College's adult degree program allowed me to work and attend classes toward a Bachelor's Degree. The unique classes at Bluefield College focus on the mind and the spirit. They allow individuals to reflect on past experiences and show you how to apply things learned in everyday life to enhance your personal skills. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Management and Leadership which has prepared me for my current position as a Housing Program Coordinator for a non-profit agency. I lead a team of employees and volunteers in helping the homeless or near homeless in my community. Without Bluefield College I might not be the leader I am today. Thanks for helping me pursue my passion for knowledge that has enabled me to help my community.
